[PI]ETAS AVGG Pietas seated left on throne, extending her right hand and holding long scepter in her left; to left, [two children standing right, raising their arms towards her]; at her side, a third child standing left with raised arm. Cohen 84. MIR 229b. RIC 35. Light scratches and minor porosity and part of the flan on the reverse missing, otherwise, good very fine.


This piece was accidentally struck on two flans (note the high weight). During the process, part of the metal on the upper flan broke away under the force of the blow.
