Gallienus, 253-268. Antoninianus (Bronze, 18 mm, 2.69 g, 1 h), a contemporary imitation of an issue from Rome, irregular mint, after 268. CIILLIENIIS IIIIG Radiate head of Gallienus to right. Rev. IIP[ ... ]IIG / M Centaur walking left, drawing bow. Cf. Cohen 72, MIR 735b and RIC 163 (for possible prototype). A highly interesting contemporary imitation struck from an inverted obverse die. Somewhat smoothed, otherwise, very fine.
