Head of Office in Munich (f/m/d, 100%)
We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial head of office manager for our newly founded German subsidiary. Our company operates internationally and specialises in trading coins from ancient, medieval and modern times. As the manager of our office in Munich, you will play a key role in establishing and developing our German presence.

Your Responsibilities
1) Operational establishment of the German subsidiary in cooperation with the management of Leu Numismatik AG and on-site legal advice:
- Establishment of the business structure in Germany (incl. search for suitable office space and initial setup: safe, security concept, office furniture, internet, telephony, computers, network, copier, etc.)
- Responsibility for compliance with all legal, tax and industry-specific requirements (e.g. Money Laundering Act, cultural property protection, import/export, KYC policy, etc.)
- Assistance in setting up additional locations in Germany
2) Administrative management of the office
- Acquisition of auction consignments
- Customer reception/acceptance of auction consignments
- Appraisal and valuation of antique, medieval and modern coins in consultation with experts and the management of Leu Numismatik AG
- Entry of auction consignments into the ERP system of Leu Numismatik AG (inventory management)
- Photographing auction consignments
- Cataloguing auction consignments
- Preparing auction consignments for export to Winterthur (EORI number, logistics, export accompanying documents, customs, export licences if necessary, etc.)
- Planning trade fairs, auctions and specialist events in Switzerland and abroad (coin exchanges in Germany: World Money Fair Berlin, Numismata Munich, possibly Frankfurt and Stuttgart)
3) Personnel management and team development
- After an initial set-up phase, the recruitment, management and development of the local team
4) Marketing & Customer Relations
- Establishing and maintaining long-term customer relationships with collectors, dealers, collectors' associations and coin dealers' associations, investors, auction houses and institutions (universities, museums, banks, asset managers, family offices, etc.)
5) Cooperation with the HQ
- Close coordination with Leu Numismatik AG regarding strategy, acquisition and reporting
- Representation of the subsidiary within the international corporate structure
Your Profile
1) Professional Qualifications
- In-depth, long-standing knowledge of numismatics – ideally with a focus on ancient, medieval and/or modern coins – or of the national and international coin trade is a major advantage
- Sound understanding of business and legal principles (e.g., through academic study, training, or demonstrated practical experience)
- Experience in establishing or managing a business unit is a strong asset

We, Leu Numismatik AG in Winterthur, are a young and innovative auction house specializing in numismatics, focusing on the trade of ancient, medieval, and modern coins. We are offering traditional floor auctions as well as modern web auctions, attended by an international clientele.
To support our management, organize and administer our office, and serve as the first point of contact for our clients, we are looking for a motivated and well-structured individual to join us immediately or by arrangement as Deputy Head of Administration.
Your Responsibilities
- Support of the management
- First contact with our international clientele (in the office, by email, and by phone)
- Planning the preparation and follow-up of auctions
- Shipping of auction lots
- Support in accounting (accounts payable and accounts receivable)
- Participation in the improvement of internal processes
- Support in the further development of our digital back office
Your Qualifications
- Completed commercial training or university degree (FH, university)
- At least two years of practical experience in the above-mentioned tasks
- Additional experience in one of the following areas is an advantage: fiduciary, logistics, or law

We are looking for a dedicated numismatists specializing in ancient or medieval/modern coins to help us identify and catalogue coins for our floor and web auctions.
You don't have to move to Switzerland to fill this position, you can work comfortably from home!

We are seeking a full-time Senior Numismatist to join our team in Winterthur at the earliest possible date. The primary responsibility of this role is the detailed cataloging and description of ancient coins, particularly those from the fields of Greek, Roman, and Byzantine numismatics. Additionally, the position involves various other numismatic tasks related to our auctions.
Your Responsibilities
- Detailed cataloging and description of ancient coins (Greek, Roman, Byzantine) in English
- Research using the company’s library and numismatic literature

Your Profile
- Extensive experience as a numismatist, particularly in ancient coinage
