CORINTHIA. Corinth. Circa 375-300 BC. Stater (Subaeratus, 23 mm, 7.32 g, 6 h), a contemporary imitation from an irregular mint. Pegasos flying left; below, Ϙ. Rev. Head of Athena to left, wearing Cornthn helmet decorated with laurel wreath; below chin and neck,, [A-P]; behind neck guard, aegis. Cf. Calciati 427 and Ravel 1009 (for prototype). Somewhat brushed and with break in plating on the reverse edge, otherwise, very fine.

Plated staters of Corinthian type are surprisingly rare, given how widespread this coinage was.
