MACEDON. Akanthos. Circa 470-390 BC. Tetrobol (Silver, 16 mm, 2.25 g, 12 h). Forepart of a bull to left, head turned back to right; above, swastika between Π and olive spray with fruit. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square with granulated recesses. AMNG III/2, 35. HGC 3.1, 392. SNG ANS -. SNG Delepierre 875 (same obverse die). A very rare variety. Struck on a broad flan and very attractive. Very light die rust on the obverse and minor weakness on the reverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
