Draped Sasanian-style bust to right, wearing an elaborate crown; behind head, ‘GDE / ʾp̄zwt’ (‘[may his] glory increase’ in Pahlavi); before head, ‘plhwzʾt Y / gwšnʾnwšʾn’ = ‘Farroxzād ī Gušn-Anōšān’ (‘Farrukhzad son of Gushn-Anosh’ in Pahlavi). Rev. Gyselen 53. Extremely rare. Cleaned, small flan faults and deposits, otherwise, nearly very fine.

The date 104, which appears on the reverse of the coin, likely refers to an era whose point of origin was the second accession of Khosrau II, in AD 591. Accordingly, the year 104 corresponds to AD 695.
