Draped bust resembling Khosrau II to right, wearing an elaborate mural crown; behind head, ‘GDE / ʾp̄zwt’ (‘[may his] glory increase’ in Pahlavi); before head, ‘al-Ḥajjāj ibn / Yūsuf’ (‘al-Hajjaj son of Yusuf’ in Arabic); in the outer margin, ‘bism / Allāh / [lā i/lāha i/llā A]/llāh / wa/ḥdahū / Muḥammad / rasū/l A/llāh’ (‘In the name of Allah. There is no deity but Allah, the One. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah’ in Arabic). Rev.
