Apparently unpublished and unique, and with a delightful turquoise patina. Thin flan crack and with a tiny edge scuff, otherwise, about extremely fine.


This beautiful dupondius of Geta as Augustus, with its magnificent malachite patina, commemorates the Severan victories in Britain. Until now, this type was known only as a sestertius (RIC 172, with Victory seated to right) and as an as (RIC 178).
