Gallienus, 253-268. Antoninianus (Silver, 22 mm, 3.66 g, 4 h), Rome, autumn 256. IMP C P LIC GALLIENVS P F AVG Radiate and cuirassed bust of Gallienus to right. Rev. LIBERALITAS AVGG Valerian I and Gallienus, laureate and togate, seated left on curule chairs, extending their right hands and holding short scepters in their left; in the background between them, Valerian II Caesar standing left. Cohen -. Eauze -. MIR 68q (five examples recorded). RIC 150 corr. (reverse description). Very rare and with a very interesting dynastic reverse type. Struck from a slightly worn obverse die and with a small dig on the reverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
