Valerian I, 253-260. Antoninianus (Silver, 21 mm, 3.35 g, 6 h), Viminacium, 253. IMP P LIC VALERIANO AVG Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Valerian I to right, seen from behind. Rev. VIRTVS AVG Virtus standing front, head to left, holding Victory in her right hand and spear and shield set on ground with her left. C. 257. Eauze 1368. MIR 794d. RIC 266 corr. ('Mediolanum' and bust type). Lightly toned and with a particularly individual portrait, a beautiful piece. The reverse struck from a slightly worn die, otherwise, extremely fine.
