PHOENICIA. Tyre. 126/5 BC-AD 65/6. Shekel (Silver, 29 mm, 14.31 g, 12 h), CY 10 = 117/16 BC. Laureate head of Melkart to right, lion skin tied around neck. Rev. TYPOY IEPAΣ KAI AΣYΛOY Eagle standing left on prow, wings closed and with palm frond behind; to left, LI above club; to right, ZB; between the eagle's legs, 𐤁 (B in Punic). BMC 66. DCA Tyre 23. HGC 10, 357. A nicely toned, perfectly centered and very well struck example. About extremely fine.
