CORINTHIA. Corinth. Circa 500-480 BC. Stater (Silver, 20 mm, 8.29 g, 4 h). Pegasos with curved wing flying left; below, Ϙ. Rev. Head of Athena to right, wearing Corinthian helmet and pearl necklace; all within incuse square. BCD Corinth -. Calciati 51. HGC 4, 1821. McClean 6065 (same dies). Ravel 132 (P84/T99). Beautifully toned and with a lovely head of Athena of attractive early style. Struck from a somewhat worn obverse die and with a minor die break on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
