EUBOIA. Karystos. Circa 300-250 BC. Stater (Silver, 26 mm, 7.88 g, 10 h). Cow standing right, head turned back to left to lick the back of her calf, suckling to left. Rev. KA-PYΣ Rooster standing right. BCD Euboia 569 (same dies). HGC 4, 1552. Robinson, Carystus, pl. II, 17-8 (P5/A2). SNG Copenhagen 415 (same obverse die). Beautiful old collection toning. Faint scratches and the obverse struck from a slightly worn die, otherwise, good very fine.
