Head of Demeter to right, wearing wreath of grain ears, triple pendant earring and pearl necklace; below chin, EY. Rev. META Barley ear with leaf to right; to lower left, ΛY; above leaf, star. HN Italy 1592. Johnston Class C, 8.6. Lightly toned. Slightly rough and with numerous marks and scratches, otherwise, very fine.
