LUCANIA. Metapontion. Circa 340-330 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 19 mm, 7.84 g, 6 h). Bearded head of Leukippos to right, wearing Corinthian helmet; behind, head of a roaring lion to right. Rev. META Barley ear with leaf to left; above leaf, vertical club with head below; below leaf, [A]MI. HN III 1575. Johnston B 2. SNG ANS 434. Nicely toned. Light porosity and with a flan fault on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
