CALABRIA. Tarentum. Circa 280-228 BC. Diobol (Silver, 12 mm, 0.89 g, 9 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing triple crested Corinthian helmet. Rev. Herakles standing facing, holding club set on ground with his right hand and branch of the apple tree of the Hesperides in his left, lion skin draped over his left arm; to upper left, Σ. HN Italy 1066 var. (differing controls). SNG Paris 2118. Vlasto 1396. Very rare. Light scratches and with a few minor deposits, otherwise, very fine.
