Titus, 79-81. Denarius (Subaeratus, 19 mm, 2.41 g, 6 h), a contemporary imitation of an issue from Rome, irregular mint, after 80. T CAESAR VESPASIANVS Laureate head of Titus to right. Rev. TR P IX IMP XV COS VIII P P Elephant standing left. Cf. BMC 43, Cohen 303 and RIC 115 (for possible prototype). Some deposits and breaks in plating, otherwise, very fine.
