SELEUKID KINGS. Demetrios I Soter, 162-150 BC. Tetradrachm (Subaeratus, 32 mm, 14.54 g, 12 h), a contemporary plated imitation. Imitating Antiochia on the Orontes, after circa 162-155/4. Diademed head of Demerios I to right within laurel wreath. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩ[Σ] - ΔHMHTPIOY Tyche, holding scepter in her right hand and cornucopiae in her left, seated left on throne supported by tritoness right; in exergue, monogram of ΠΙ. Cf. HGCC 9, 795f and SC 1638.2a (for prototype). Breaks in plating, otherwise, nearly very fine.
