Maximianus, first reign, 286-305. Fraction (Bronze, 18 mm, 1.71 g, 6 h), Ticinum, circa 294-295. MAXIMIA-NVS AVG Laureate head of Maximianus to right. Rev. VTILITAS PVBLICA Utilitas standing front, head to left, placing her right hand on her breast and raising drapery with her left. Cohen 695 var. RIC -, cf. 27b (mint mark on reverse). Apparently unpublished save for its previous auction appearance. Minor smoothing, otherwise, very fine.
