Maximianus, first reign, 286-305. Fraction (Bronze, 17 mm, 1.55 g, 12 h), Rome, circa 294-295. MAXIMIA-NVS AVG Laureate head of Maximianus to right. Rev. VTILITAS PVBLICA / R Utilitas standing front, head to left, placing her right hand on her breast and raising drapery with her left. Cohen 695. Lanz 100 (2000), 467 (same dies). RIC -, cf. 62 (no officina mark on reverse). Very rare. Slightly rough and with minor deposits, otherwise, very fine.
