SICILY. Syracuse. Pyrrhos, 278-276 BC. AE (Bronze, 23 mm, 11.18 g, 12 h). [ΣYPAKOΣIΩN] Head of Herakles to left, wearing lion skin headdress; to right, cornucopiae. Rev. Athena Promachos advancing right, holding thunderbolt in her right hand and shield in her left; in field to left, thunderbolt. CNS II 177 (Ds14/Rs60). HGC 2, 1450. SNG ANS 844. Attractive brown patina and of fine style. A few thin surface cracks, otherwise, very fine.
