Tetricus I, Romano-Gallic Emperor, 271-274. Antoninianus (Bronze, 17 mm, 2.46 g, 5 h), a contemporary imitation of an issue from Treveri, irregular mint, after 273. [IMP] C T[ETRICVS P F AVG] Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Tetricus I to right. Rev. VIRTVS AVGG Virtus standing front, head to left, holding shield with her right hand and spear with her left. Cf. AGK (corr.) 14a, Cunetio 2618, Elmer 780 and RIC V.4 797 (for prototype). Light deposits and with a large and unusual flan fault on the obverse, otherwise, about very fine.
