Gordian III, 238-244. Antoninianus (Silver, 22 mm, 4.21 g, 1 h), a contemporary imitation of an issue from Rome, irregular mint, after 243. IMP CORDIΛNVS PIVS ΛVC Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Gordian III to right, seen from behind. Rev. IOVI STΛTORI Jupiter standing front, head to right, holding long scepter in his right hand and thunderbolt in his left. Cf. Cohen 109, Michaux 371 and RIC 84 (for prototype). Darkly toned. Slightly rough and with minor deposits, otherwise, very fine.
