Valentinian II, 375-392. Solidus (Gold, 21 mm, 4.47 g, 12 h), uncertain mint in Northern Italy, 383. D N VALENTINI-ANVS P F AVG Pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Valentinian II to right. Rev. VICTOR-IA AVGG / COM Theodosius I and Gratian, both crowned and nimbate, seated facing on double-throne, holding a globe together; behind, Victory standing facing with wings spread; below, small palm branch. Depeyrot 1/2. RIC 5e and 8a.1 ('Mediolanum'). Lustrous and sharp. Good extremely fine.
