Caracalla, 198-217. As (Copper, 25 mm, 10.76 g, 6 h), Rome, 215. ANTONINVS PIVS AVG GERM Radiate and cuirassed bust of Caracalla to right, seen from behind. Rev. P M TR P XVIII COS IIII P P / S - C Aesculapius standing front, head to left, leaning right on serpent-entwined staff; at his feet, globe. BMC 293 note. Cohen 304 var. (not cuirassed). RIC 553c. A beautifully struck piece with an attractive green patina and a splendid portrait. Very light roughness, otherwise, good very fine.
