CARTHAGE. First Punic War. Circa 264-241 BC. AE (Bronze, 13 mm, 1.55 g, 3 h), Sardinian mint (?). Wreathed head of Tanit left; to right, pellet. Rev. Head of horse right; to right, pellet. MAA 60 var. (no pellets). SNG Copenhagen 224-5 var. (no pellets). A rare variety. Somewhat smoothed and with a flan crack, otherwise, good very fine.
