INDIA, Mauryan Empire. Late 4th century-circa 175 BC. Karshapana (Silver, 16 mm, 3.41 g, 12 h). Five official punches, including sun, six-armed symbol, hill, footprint-in-square and deity-on-pedestal holding a large U-shaped object. Rev. Blank except for two central countermark. GH 572. Very fine.
