AEOLIS. Myrina. Septimius Severus, with Julia Domna, 193-211. Hexassarion (Orichalcum, 39 mm, 26.06 g, 6 h), Eupistos, son of Attalos, strategos. ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙ Λ ϹЄΠ ϹΟΥΗ[ΡΟϹ ΠЄΡ] / IOY ΔOMNA - CЄBACTH Laureate and cuirassed bust of Septimius Severus, on the left, facing draped bust of Julia Domna, on the right. Rev. ЄΠΙ ϹΤΡ ЄΥΠЄΙϹΤΟΥ ΤΟΥ ΑΤΤΑΛΟΥ / ΜΥΡЄΙΝΑΙ-ΩΝ Apollo Grynios standing front within hexastyle temple, head to left, holding patera in his right hand and laurel-branch in his left; in pediment, round shield. BMC 44. RPC V.2 online ID 1158. SNG von Aulock 1668. Very rare. Somewhat rough and the obverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, very fine.
