Stater (Silver, 24 mm, 10.89 g, 12 h). 𐡁𐡏𐡋𐡕𐡓𐡆 ('b'ltrs' in Aramaic) Baaltars seated left on backless throne, his body turned to front, holding an eagle, a grain ear and a vine branch with a bunch of grapes in his right hand, and a long scepter in his left; to lower left, 𐡕𐡍 ('sn'). Rev. 𐡌𐡆𐡓𐡉 ('mzdy' in Aramaic) Lion attacking bull to left. Casabonne series 2, Group C. Cf. CNG E-Auction 452 (2019), 389 (same dies). SNG Levante Suppl. 20 var. SNG Paris 334-5 var. (both with 𐡍𐡕 on obverse to lower left and 𐡌 below throne). A very rare variety. Nicely toned and with a lovely reverse. The obverse struck off center, otherwise, extremely fine.
