Tetricus II, Romano-Gallic Emperor, 273-274. Antoninianus (Bronze, 16 mm, 2.26 g, 6 h), a contemporary imitation of an issue from Treveri, irregular mint, after 273. [...]ETRICVS C[...] Radiate and draped bust of Tetricus II to right, seen from behind. Rev. PIET[...] Sprinkler, simpulum, jug, knife and lituus. Cf. AGK (corr.) 5b, Cunetio 2597, Elmer 778 and RIC V.4 773 (for prototype). Boldly struck in high relief, with a fantastic imitative portrait. Small area of corrosion and thin die break on the reverse, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
