SEVERVS PIVS AVG Laureate head of Septimius Severus to right. Rev. P M TR P VIII COS II P P Victory advancing left, holding open wreath in both hands over shield set on low base. Cf. BMC 175, Cohen 454 and RIC 150 (for possible prototype). A lovely piece of attractive imitative style. Somewhat porous and with light deposits and the obverse struck a little bit off center, otherwise, very fine.
