Central field, in three lines within cable border: lā ilāha illā / Allāh waḥdahū / lā sharīka lahū (‘There is no deity but God alone; He has no associate’ in Arabic). Rev. Central field, in three lines: Muḥammad / rasūl / Allāh (‘Muhammad is the Messenger of God’ in Arabic); in Margin: ḍuriba hādhā al-fals bi-Ghazza sanat sabʿ ʿashara wa-miʾatayn (‘This fals was struck at Ghazza in the year two hundred and seventeen’ in Arabic); below: bakh (‘Excellent!’ in Arabic).
