A lovely piece with an attractive brown patina and unusually fine portraits. Minor smoothing, otherwise, very fine.

Zenodoros was an Ituraean ruler of Chalcis ad Libanum whose dynasty maintained close political and dynastic ties with the Hasmonean house. After Actium, his authority appears to have been recognized by Octavian, while parts of his territory were subsequently transferred to Herod the Great.
