Judaica Vespasian, 69-79. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 3.18 g, 6 h), Rome, circa 21 December 69-early 70. [IMP] CAESAR VESPASIANVS AVG Laureate head of Vespasian to right. Rev. IVDAEA Judaea, draped and veiled, seated right on ground in attitude of mourning, resting her head on her left hand; behind, trophy, consisting of helmet, cuirass, shields and greaves. BMC 35-8. Bromberg I 288. CBN 23-5. Cohen 226. Hendin 6509. RIC 2. Samel 2286-8. Shoshana I 20520. Attractively toned and with a bold portrait. Slightly rough and the reverse struck a little bit off center, otherwise, good very fine.
