Undated, but attributed to Year 3 = 134/5 CE. 𐤔𐤌𐤏𐤅𐤍 (‘Šimʿon’ in Paleo-Hebrew) Grape bunch on vine with small leaf to right. Rev. 𐤋𐤇𐤓𐤅𐤕 𐤉𐤓𐤅𐤔𐤋𐤌 ('For the Freedom of Jerusalem' in Paleo-Hebrew) Two upright trumpets. Bromberg II 517 (same dies). Hendin 6458 (same obverse die). Meshorer, AJC, 60 (same obverse die). Mildenberg 166 (O21/R67). Samel 2476-2477 (same obverse die). Shoshana I 20445 (same dies). Sofaer 138-139. Nicely toned. Overstruck on an Arabian drachm of Trajan. Somewhat rough and with traces of overstriking, otherwise, good very fine.

This coin was struck over an Arabian drachm of Trajan, as evidenced by remnants of the obverse legend [...]ЄPM ΔA[...] on the obverse and of the reverse legend [...]IZ YΠAT[...] on the reverse. These remnants also allow the undertype to be identified precisely, since the date IZ = 17 is found only on RPC III 4074.
