An early Carthaginian gold stater

CARTHAGE. Circa 350-320 BC. Stater (Gold, 19 mm, 9.36 g, 10 h). Head of Tanit to left, wearing wreath of grain ears, triple-pendant earring and elaborate necklace. Rev. Horse standing right; below the horse on the upper left and before the left fore hoof, pellet; in exergue, inscription-like pattern. Jenkins & Lewis Group IIIa, 6 (same dies). MAA 4. Traces of mounting and minor marks and light scratches, otherwise, very fine.
