CAMPANIA. Allifae. Circa 325-275 BC. Obol (Silver, 12 mm, 0.66 g, 3 h). Laureate head of Apollo to right; to right and behind his neck, three dolphins. Rev. AΛΛIBANO[N] Scylla to right, holding octopus in her right hand and fish in her left; below, mussel shell. HN Italy 460. SNG ANS 160-4. SNG München 131. SNG Paris 392-5. Rare. Nicely toned and with a charming reverse type. Slightly porous and with some minor edge chipping, otherwise, very fine.
