MHP - ΘV The Mother of God, nimbate, wearing chiton and maphorion, pointing with her left hand towards Infant Christ seated on her right arm (the "Dexiokratousa", a variant of the "Hodegetria" type, which has Christ depicted on his mother's left arm) . Rev. [Θ NIK] - O/ΛA/O, Nimbate facing bust of Saint Nicholas, raising his right hand in benediction and holding a book of Gospels in his left hand. Cf. DO Seals VII 8.12. An attractive anonymous iconographic seal. The reverse struck somewhat off center, otherwise, good very fine.
