Diocletian, 284-305. Antoninianus (Silvered bronze, 26 mm, 3.58 g, 7 h), Rome, 285. IMP DIOCLETIANVS AVG Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Diocletian to right, seen from behind. Rev. VICTORIA AVG / XXIA Victory standing front, head to left, holding wreath in her right hand and palm frond in her left. Cohen 467 corr. (bust type). RIC 183 corr. (reverse). Venèra 6979-7020. An attractive piece struck on an exceptionally broad flan. Light deposits and with minor areas of weakness, otherwise, extremely fine.
