Philip I, 244-249. Sestertius (Orichalcum, 31 mm, 15.66 g, 11 h), Rome, 246. IMP M IVL PHILIPPVS AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Philip I to right, seen from behind. Rev. AEQVITAS AVGG / S - C Aequitas standing front, head to left, holding scales in her right hand and cornucopiae in her left. Cohen 10 corr. (AVG on reverse in error). RIC 166a. Attractive earthen highlights on an untouched green patina, and with a wonderful portrait. Minor roughness, otherwise, good very fine.
