Gordian III, 238-244. Sestertius (Orichalcum, 32 mm, 20.68 g), Rome, 239. IMP CAES M ANT GORDIANVS AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Gordian III to right, seen from behind. Rev. [P] M TR P II COS P P / [S] - C Gordian III, togate and veiled, standing front, head to left, sacrificing out of his right hand over tripod altar and holding roll in his left. Cohen 217. RIC 291. Well centered and with a lovely juvenile portrait. Light deposits, otherwise, good very fine.
