Caracalla, 198-217. Antoninianus (Silver, 24 mm, 4.92 g, 6 h), Rome, 215-217. ANTONINVS PIVS AVG GERM Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Caracalla to right, with both pteryges visible, raising his left shoulder. Rev. VENVS VICTRIX Venus standing front, head to left, holding Victory in her right hand and long scepter in her left, her left elbow resting on shield set on helmet. BMC 79. Cohen 608. RIC 311c. Nicely toned and with a bold portrait. Slightly rough and the reverse a bit weak and with very light deposits, otherwise, good very fine.

From the Pavlos Seitanidis Collection, ex Leu Web Auction 34, 5-8 July 2025, 2650, and previously from the Joseph Markowitz Collection (1897-1981), brought to Israel in 1949 and kept in the family ever since.
