Augustus, 27 BC-AD 14. Denarius (Silver, 21 mm, 3.77 g, 6 h), uncertain mint in Spain (Colonia Caesaraugusta?), circa 19-18 BC. CAESAR AVGVSTVS Bare head of Augustus to left. Rev. Round shield inscribed S•P•Q•R / CL•V in two lines. BMC 335. Cohen 293. RIC 42b. Beautifully toned. Faint scratches and the obverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, very fine.
