KINGS OF THRACE. Lysimachos, 305-281 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 32 mm, 16.84 g, 12 h), Pergamon, circa 287-282/1. Diademed head of Alexander the Great to right with horn of Ammon over his ear. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ Athena seated left, holding Nike, crowning the king's name, in her right hand and leaning with her left arm on shield decorated with lion's head; behind, transverse spear; to outer left, N; in inner left field, facing cult statue of Artemis; in exergue, crescent left. Meydancikkale 2679. Müller 290. Thompson 225. Minor marks and with light deposits, otherwise, very fine.
