Q. Cassius Longinus, 55 BC. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 3.99 g, 3 h), Rome. Q•CASSIVS - VEST Veiled and diademed head of Vesta to right. Rev. Curule chair within circular Temple of Vesta with conical roof surmounted by statue; in field to left, urn; in field to right, tablet inscribed AC (absolvo condemno). Babelon (Cassia) 9. Crawford 428/1. RBW 1533. Sydenham 917. Beautifully toned and very attractive. The reverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, good very fine.
