ΝЄΑ ΤΡΑΙΑΝΗ / ΒΟϹΤΡΑ Tyche standing facing within tetrastyle temple with central arch, left foot set on figure, holding spear with trophy in her right hand and cornucopiae in her left; to left and right, foreparts of centaurs right. Somewhat rough and with light deposits, otherwise, good very fine.


This interesting dynastic issue depicts Septimius Severus wearing a radiate crown and Julia Domna with a crescent moon on her head, associating the imperial couple with the sun and moon and elevating them to the realm of the divine.
