PHOENICIA. Aradus. Diadumenian, as Caesar, 217-218. Tetradrachm (Billon, 29 mm, 12.00 g, 12 h). ΑΥT•ΚAI•Μ•Ο•ΠЄ•ΑΝΤⲰΝЄΙΝΟC Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Diadumenian to right, seen from behind. Rev. ΔΗΜΑΡΧ ЄΞ ΥΠΑΤ A Eagle with spread wings standing facing, head to right and holding wreath in beak; between legs, crescent (or bull's horns?). Prieur 1287-1288. RPC V.3 online ID 83805. Very rare and unusually attractive. Areas of weakness, otherwise, good very fine.
