SYRIA, Seleucis and Pieria. Emesa. Diadumenian, as Caesar, 217-218. Tetradrachm (Billon, 25 mm, 13.60 g, 1 h). ΜΑΡ•ΟΠ ΑΝΤⲰΝΙΝΟϹ ΚΑ Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Diadumenian to right. Rev. ΔΗΜ[ΑΡΧ ЄΞ ΥΠΑΤΟϹ Π Π] Eagle with spread wings standing facing, head to left and holding wreath in beak; below the eagle's head, Ↄ; between the eagle's legs, radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Shamash to left. Prieur 1019. RPC V.3 online ID 87870. Very rare. Struck on a somewhat short flan, otherwise, good very fine.
