An extremely rare tetrassarion of Macrinus from Selinus-Traianopolis

CILICIA. Selinus-Traianopolis. Macrinus, 217-218. Tetrassarion (Bronze, 29 mm, 12.40 g, 6 h). ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙ Μ ΟΠΕ ΜΑΚΡΕΙΝΟϹ Ϲ Laureate, head of Macrinus to right. Rev. ΤΡΑΙΑΝΟ ϹЄΛΙΝΟΥ ΤΗϹ ΙЄΡ Apollo Sidetes standing facing, holding patera in his right hand and scepter in his left; at his feet to right, raven standing front with wings open, head to left. Roma E-Auction 118 (2024), 1100. RPC V.3 online ID 86080 = SNG Paris 684 (same dies). Extremely rare, apparently the third known example. Attractive earthen highlights on a dark patina and with an impressive portrait. Slightly rough, otherwise, good very fine.
