A magnificent Nezak Hun drachm

HUNNIC TRIBES, Nezak Huns. Circa 6th-7th centuries. Drachm (Bronze, 28 mm, 3.51 g, 3 h), ā-group, possibly Kabul mint. Draped bust of the king to right, wearing an elaborate winged crown topped by buffalo’s head; to right and left, ‘nycky MLK/A’ = ‘Nēzak šāh’ (‘Nezak King’ in Pahlavi). Rev. Fire altar flanked by two attendants; wheel symbols on the right and left sides of the flames; ‘la(?)’ in Brāhmī to left; ‘hi(?)’ in Kharoṣṭhī to right. Vondrovec 198. Beautifully toned and exceptionally well preserved, a magnificent example. Minor doubling on the reverse, otherwise, good extremely fine.
